What is a life? A sea full of opportunities? yes, or No? Yes, it is but, with millions of other fishes chasing the same opportunity. It is growing so swiftly and so are the fishes. Everything is multiplying so quickly. From people’s mind to technological advancement, everything is thriving at such an unbelievable rate. The millennials are creating wonders, unraveling the mysteries to scientific discoveries. The young minds blooming and achieving so much at such a tender age. All this brings me to a statement that in the world that is growing so fast you have to be fast if you want to last. The statement holds true keeping in mind the current scenario.
But, what really matters is that how do we interpret it. We have to be fast enough to adapt the new changes, to keep us updated with the advancements. We have to be enthusiastic and passionate enough to put every bit of strength we have to achieve whatever we want in life. But, do we really follow the statement? In this age, the microwave age, we want everything instantly. We want results as fast as google search results. We want solutions to our problems just by clicking some button as we are so used to that speed.
We all have been taught this thing from our childhood that nothing is impossible, we can have whatever we want in life and that is 100 percent true. We want to achieve so many things, we all want to make an impact and leave everlasting impression on the world. But, do we have enough patience to do so? We want to earn a lot of money but within a short span of time. We all want job satisfaction within few months of joining a company without understanding that it may take years to achieve that satisfaction and end up quitting too soon. We want that perfect partner for us without feeling that love and connection and end up hurting ourselves.
All the time we millennials are striving to achieve that excellence but do not accept that it takes ages, tons of patience and hard work to excel. We listen to the stories of great achievers for inspiration but do we focus on the struggle, the efforts they had put to achieve that?
Guess who got fired from the company he created? That was Steve jobs. Whose manuscripts got rejected by more than a dozen publishers? She was JK Rowling. And, we all know today where they both stand in the world and nothing happened over night.
We millennials run after Instant gratification and that is not a thing for satisfaction and success. All the great things take time. Everything in life happens at its own pace. We have to stay focused and keep working at our pace without losing hope and peace.
